Morphettville horse trainer, Darryl Carrison, was watching the first race at the Quorn Cup, held in the Flinders Rangers, when something caught the corner of his eye.

When a horse broke away from its attendant and began running towards the race pack, the quick thinking Carrison ran after it, preventing a possible tragedy.

He said that he “just jumped over the fence, ran onto the track… it could have been disastrous”.
