The approximately £1.2 million transformation of Winton Health Centre on Alma Road in Bournemouth was delivered by Dorset-based Spetisbury Construction over seven months, from January to July.
The centre, which will soon house the relocated Banks and Bearwood Medical Practice, will also offer a range of community health services including paediatrics, speech and language therapy, podiatry, leg ulcer clinics, and community oncology.

“Beyond the roofing, mechanical and electrical work, a lot of what we delivered was about creating spaces that genuinely work better for staff and patients: from the reconfigured clinical rooms to the district nursing hub.”
The refurbishment covered both internal and external areas of the building.
Works included new roofing, cladding, safety railings, flooring, fire doors, entrance doors, and a disabled access ramp.
A full renewal of the mechanical and electrical systems was also completed, including a new boiler, heating, and water systems.
The reconfigured layout now features 12 clinical rooms, a work area for the district nursing team, a meeting room, two health visitor offices, and a refurbished reception area.
Helen Duncan-Jordan, head of child and adolescent mental health services at Dorset HealthCare, said: “Local people will benefit from having so many services available together here in the heart of the community.
