Scone trainer Brett Cavanough will send a number of leading chances to his home track on Tuesday, headed by three-time winner Saratoga Power, which will contest the Coolmore Country Boosted Benchmark 66 Handicap.
“He’s a horse with a good record, and he did trial well leading into this event,” said Cavanough, who has Mitchell Bell booked to partner the galloper.

“He won well on the polytrack at the Gold Coast before a third there on the course proper. He won a three-horse trial recently by a big margin at Scone, and if he can hold that form, he should be hard to hold out.”
The Melanie O’Gorman-prepared Nation Changing, unbeaten in two starts at Scone and Armidale, will resume in the same race that Saratoga Power contests on the back of three trials.
“He’s a Cosmic Force galloper that I have a very good opinion of,” O’Gorman said. “He has won both his starts impressively, and I really want to step him up to Highway grade, but we will go through the grades with the weather the way it is at the moment.
“Mikayla Weir won on him at his second start, and she sticks with him on Tuesday. She rode him in the latest trial and sticks with him.“
Cavanough has utilised the services of Bell in a number of races at Scone with the trainer and jockey kicking off the day when they combine with Bravalatante in the Arrowfield Country Boosted Maiden Plate (1100m). Stablemate By Linda will be ridden by Braith Nock in the same event.

Bell has also been booked to ride Speed Of Gold in the Scone Chamber Of Commerce Maiden Plate (900m), Xerxes in the CRT Scone Rural Supplies Maiden Handicap (1300m) and Echelon in the One Agency Scone Class 1 Handicap (1200m).
Nock will be aboard Cresta Run for Cavanough when it contests the same event as Echelon, while the talented emerging apprentice will also partner the Cavanough-prepared New Pharoah, when it lines up in the Darley Benchmark 66 Handicap (1300m) from an awkward, outside alley.
