Simon Cox, Nile Ranger and Jamie Sendles-White will step into the spotlight at A Night to Remember III, a charity boxing event taking place at Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in London on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
The event, organised by Pro Project Promotions and founded by former Arsenal goalkeeper Graham Stack, challenges ex-professional footballers to undergo 10 weeks of boxing training before taking part in exhibition bouts—raising funds and awareness for charitable causes in the process.
Mr Stack said: “This is our biggest and most emotional line-up yet. Every one of these lads has a story worth telling – some have played at the very top of the game, others have had to rebuild their whole lives, and all of them are stepping back into a ring for people who need it more than they do.
“With the documentaries landing on Amazon Prime, more people than ever are going to see what this really means.
“We’ve raised over £201,500 for charity in our first two events and we want the Grosvenor on 22nd October to be our biggest night yet – so get your tickets early, because this one will not stay available for long.”
The night will feature a red carpet arrival, champagne reception, and seven three-round boxing contests, followed by an exclusive after-party.
Each fight will feature a former professional footballer, many of whom have faced significant personal and professional challenges.
Nile Ranger, who previously played for Swindon Town and Newcastle United, is taking part in the event as part of his continued efforts to rebuild his life and reputation following a prison sentence for online banking fraud.
Simon Cox, a former striker for West Bromwich Albion, Reading, and Swindon Town, is also confirmed to take part.
He scored 43 league goals in two seasons at Swindon before earning a move to the Premier League.
Jamie Sendles-White, another former Swindon Town player and a Northern Ireland youth international, will also feature on the card.
Other confirmed participants include Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Gary Madine, Sebastien Bassong, and Matthew Briggs.
The event will be broadcast live on talkSPORT in the UK and Ireland, and worldwide on Sports.com.
Tickets are already on sale, with tables selling out quickly.
Pro Project Promotions aims to provide retired athletes with a renewed sense of purpose by channelling their competitive spirit into meaningful causes.
The organisation recognises the challenges faced by athletes post-retirement and offers them structure, motivation, and a platform to give back to the community.
