Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and David Norris will compete in A Night to Remember III, a charity boxing showcase featuring ex-professionals, organised by Pro Project Promotions and taking place at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on October 22.
The event, founded by former Arsenal goalkeeper Graham Stack, challenges retired footballers to take on 10 weeks of intense training before stepping into the ring for charity.
Mr Stack said: “This is our biggest and most emotional line-up yet.
“Every one of these lads has a story worth telling – some have played at the very top of the game, others have had to rebuild their whole lives, and all of them are stepping back into a ring for people who need it more than they do.
“We’ve raised over £201,500 for charity in our first two events and we want the Grosvenor on 22nd October to be our biggest night yet – so get your tickets early, because this one will not stay available for long.”

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, who has played for Arsenal, Ipswich, Bristol City and QPR, was jailed in 2023 for his involvement in a £600,000 cannabis smuggling plot.
He served 10 months before returning to non-league football, and organisers have described his participation as one of the event’s most powerful redemption stories.
