Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Nancy Osborne is set to face a Multiple Sclerosis (MS) relapse in worrying new scenes on Hollyoaks. The character was first diagnosed with the relapsing-remitting form of the condition back in 2017.
This means she has faced flare-ups followed by periods of recovery from the disease, which affects the central nervous system.

After it was recently confirmed that Nancy will experience symptoms once again, it has now been revealed that she will begin to have her health scare next week.
In the new scenes, Nancy has an MS relapse while at school, which leads Dee Dee Hutchinson to spring into action as she calls Abigail Matthews for help.
However, the sinister new character turns cold towards Dee Dee, which comes after the latter attempted to kiss her this week amid the disturbing grooming storyline.
Later at the hospital, Nancy feels restless, and she is visited by Abigail, who has come with a gift basket.

Opening up recently to Digital Spy about the MS storyline, Nancy actor Jessica Fox told us: “Nancy’s going to have a little bit of a health scare. We’re going to remind the audience that she has MS, and we’re going to touch on that a little bit.”
Meanwhile, the grooming storyline was confirmed back in July, with the soap working with the NSPCC and TDI (The Derwent Initiative) on the important plot.
“We’re definitely doing a story that I don’t think any other soap has done before,” Jessica previously explained. “We’re challenging Dee Dee in ways that I didn’t see coming – she’s such a cracking little actress and I’m excited to see what she does.”
