The countdown for Avengers: Doomsday is on, and the MCU’s Ms. Marvel actress, Iman Vellani, is here to usher us into the next tentpole film for Marvel Studios. (And not just by telling you that you have to watch a 2019 movie again.) Now, Marvel Studios has launched the official Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday podcast on Disney+, where Vellani and co-host Frank Alvarez parse through the highs and lows of the Infinity Saga.
According to a press release from Disney, Countdown to Avengers: Doomsday will have Vellani and Alvarez “rewatch and discuss films from Marvel Studios’ Infinity Saga, working their way to Avengers: Doomsday.” The first episode, which is available now on Disney+, is about the 2012 film, The Avengers. Here is the schedule for the episodes below.
August 27 – The Avengers
September 3 – Avengers: Age of Ultron
September 10 – Captain America: Civil War
September 17 – Avengers: Infinity War
September 24 – Avengers: Endgame
There’s still no word on whether Ms. Marvel or her compatriots, Photon and Captain Marvel, will also be joining the fight in Avengers: Doomsday. Frankly, if I were a character in the MCU going up against Doctor Doom, I’d want Captain Marvel on my side. Carol Danvers is never not going to get busy and throw hands when people need her help.
