Chris Cruse Jr, Chris Cruse Sr and Damion Cruse are behind the ‘Big Hits. Big Laughs. Zero Filter’ concept of the up-and-coming channel Off the Fairways.

Chris Jr, his dad and his dad’s brother are all of different abilities so both the bad and the good are on display when they are out on course across Cheshire.

Over June and July, their first few videos hit a few hundred views, but their recent videos hit five-figure or six-figure views with regularity.

One, from the 14th hole of the Vale Royal Abbey Golf Club, is now up to more than a quarter of a million watches at the time of writing.

The aim is an amusing insight into golf as it is for everyday golfers with ‘plenty of balls disappearing into places they definitely shouldn’t’.

Chris Jr, who is 32 years old and from Northwich, said: “For us to get to 10,000 followers in such a short space of time was a massive milestone for us and we have now also been accepted into TikTok’s Creator Rewards Program.”

@offthefairways ⛳️ COME PLAY THE 14TH AT VALE ROYAL ABBEY WITH US! 😂🏌️‍♂️ Safe to say… EVERYTHING happened on this hole! 🤣 🏌️ Questionable shots 😂 Plenty of laughs 🔥 Chris comes inches away from sinking a HUGE 30ft putt! 💦 But the big question… does Damo end up in the pond?! 😳😂 🎯 And Chris Jnr somehow hits the back of the hole to make sure his par is safe! One hole. Three golfers. Absolute chaos. 😂⛳️ This is exactly what OFF THE FAIRWAYS is all about… BIG HITS. BIG LAUGHS. ZERO FILTER. 🔥 Watch until the end — the 14th definitely didn’t disappoint! 👀😂 #OffTheFairways #GolfTikTok #GolfComedy #UKGolf #GolfLife ♬ original sound – OFF THE FAIRWAYS

Among the other clubs to feature so far are Heyrose Golf Club, Pryors Hayes Golf Club, Macdonald Hill Valley Hotel, Golf and Spa and Macdonald Portal Hotel, Golf and Spa.

Chris Jr, Chris Sr and Damo finish the course before a final chat about the entire experience from the course and its condition to the clubhouse, facilities and food and drink.

The trio want to work with local brands and local businesses on collaborations, competitions and giveaways.

They also want to work on clothing and merchandise for a community which is bigger and bigger by the day.

Chris Jr told the Northwich and Winsford Guardian: “We are really excited to see where we can take it next.”
