Huawei Watch D3 will debut this week, and ahead of the unveiling, WinFuture has revealed official renders of the medical wearable, showing a larger display and a slimmer design profile. The details further shed light on the smartwatch’s key specs.
WinFuture’s leak includes official renders of the Huawei Watch D3 in three colors: Amber Brown, White, and Black. However, the device’s highlight lies in its specifics.
Starting with the design, the Watch D3 appears slimmer and bigger than the previous-gen model. Huawei has used aluminum + polycarbonate to make the rear cover of the wearable, which makes it thinner at 11.4 mm (Watch D2 – 13.3mm).
The most notable upgrade of the Huawei Watch D3 is its display. The company has integrated a 1.92-inch LTPO AMOLED into the wearable, up from the 1.82-inch panel. Meanwhile, the display resolution remains the same as Watch D2 – 480 x 408 pixels.
Additionally, the Watch D3 uses 64GB RAM and 64MB storage. It includes the same health features as previous versions, such as sensors for heart rate, blood pressure measurement, sleep monitoring, step counts, blood oxygen saturation, and more.
The health segment now has 24-hour enhanced blood pressure monitoring and a trend-based reporting feature. The wearable can also check skin surface temperature.
For the battery, Huawei has packed a cell capacity of 540mAh, increased from 524mAh lithium-ion. Since the increment isn’t much, Watch D3 may continue to last for six days under normal usage. Bluetooth connectivity is upgraded to 6.0.
Other capabilities count an IP68 rating and GPS support. Huawei will unveil the new-generation medical smartwatch on September 2, with probably an increased price of €449.99. In the meantime, we may see more new changes to the device via teasers.
