Hull FC have raided Queensland Cup side Wynnum-Manly Seagulls for a second time, following on from last week’s signing of Jordan Swann.
Swann, a 24-year-old centre, was announced to be making the switch to West Hull, and became the Black and Whites’ fifth signing ahead of 2027.
He will now be joined by a Seagulls teammate, with fellow 24-year-old Joshua Coric being confirmed as Steve McNamara’s latest signing.
He’s a player not known by many, but as with the likes of Josh Smith (Warrington), Cooper Jenkins (Leeds) and Caius Faatili (Wakefield, a number of players have made the move from the NRL’s reserve grade and become a success, and he will be hoping to do just the same.
Coric is a prop forward, so he fills a position FC needed to invest in desperately, especially after the confirmed exits of Hugo Salabio, Ligi Sao and Brad Fash.
Establishing himself as one of the Seagulls’ most consistent forwards, he has made 40 appearances over the past two years, having initially come through at St George Illawarra Dragons.
With an average of 151 metres per game in 2026 and a tackle efficiency of over 96%, he is handy near the try line too, having crossed eight times in 17 games this year.

He made a single NRL appearance in July, coming off the bench in Brisbane Broncos’ 28-16 loss to Cronulla.

Commenting on his move, Coric told the club website: “I’m really excited to be joining Hull FC and taking the next step in my career in Super League. It’s a massive opportunity for me and one I’m really looking forward to.
“After speaking with the club and Steve McNamara, I felt Hull FC was the right place for me to continue developing, challenge myself and take my game to the next level, both as a player and as a person.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenge of playing in Super League and being part of the Hull FC forward pack. I know the competition is going to be tough and demanding, but that’s exactly what I’m looking for at this stage of my career. I’m excited to test myself against some of the best players in the game and learn from the experience.
