John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s son Sean Ono Lennon has welcomed his first child.
The musician and his partner, Charlotte Kemp Muhl, 39, revealed the happy news on Instagram and shared their son’s name.
Delighted dad Sean wrote: “Okay so… Charlotte and I would like to announce that we have indeed created a Human Bean! His name is, Aurelius! Thank you!”
He went on to share a photo of the couple holding their baby alongside a picture of his partner cradling their son in a hospital bed after giving birth. Sean wrote: “Baby Momma!”
Charlotte, a musician and model, also shared several snaps of herself with the baby and wrote: “We made a human! Am convinced DNA is agentic alien quaternary code.
“The sleep deprivation only adds to the surrealism… Burping technique tips welcome.

The name Aurelius is of Latin origin and is derived from the words aureus (golden) and aurum (gold) and means “golden” or “gilded”. It is a relatively rare name and sits at #991 most popular in the US, according to The Bump.
Charlotte and Sean met at Coachella in 2005 and have worked on several musical projects together, including The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger.
Sean is the only child of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, born in 1975 in Manhattan – juust five years before the Beatles legend was shot and killed.
Yoko is also mum to daughter Kyoto Ono Cox with ex-husband Anthony D. Cox, while John Lennon was dad to eldest son Julian, who has no children, with his first wife Cynthia. This means that Aurelius would have been the Beatles legend’s first biological grandson.
Sean has been a member of several bands throughout his career, including Cibo Matto, The Claypool Lennon Delirium and his parents’ group, Plastic Ono Band.
He has also released three solo albums: Into The Sun (1998), Friendly Fire (2006) and Asterisms (2024).
John Lennon married Yoko Ono, his second wife, in 1969 and told The Beatles he was quitting the group later that same year.
The couple famously used their honeymoon as a bed-in Vietnam War peace protest at the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel in 1969, before repeating the stunt at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, where Lennon wrote and recorded Give Peace A Chance.
After the break-up of The Beatles in 1970, Lennon released 11 studio albums under his own name, with Ono, and with the Plastic Ono Band.
