A decision has been made on the future of Wakefield Trinity full-back Max Jowitt, with his club for 2027 now confirmed.
Jowitt will make a Super League switch for 2027, joining York Knights on a two-year deal and reuniting with former boss Mark Applegarth.
The pair worked together when Applegarth was Wakefield head coach in 2023, whilst he also links up with some familiar faces in Ben Jones-Bishop, should he play on, and Tommy Doyle.
Jowitt is currently Wakefield’s longest-serving player, having made his debut back in 2016. He has made more than 180 appearances since then, and will look to end in the best way possible with Trinity currently fighting for a top four spot.
The 29-year-old holds the record for most points by a player in a single competitive season, and he achieved that feat during Wakefield’s Championship campaign in 2024 – kicking 198 goals and scoring 26 tries – totalling 500 points.
Jowitt joins the list of players set to leave Trinity at the end of the season and will partner Jay Pitts, Mason Lino and more in saying goodbye to Belle Vue once the season culminates.
