Wide foldable devices are taking over the smartphone market for their unique form factor, and here’s a comparison of the top four wide folding models including Huawei Pura X Max, iPhone Duo, Xiaomi 18 Fold, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 – all worth attention.

Huawei was the first to introduce the wide foldable theory in the market. The concept came to light last year with the Pura X and took a bigger form with the Max variant.

Later, brands like Samsung and Apple started making headlines for launching a wide fold soon. Xiaomi also joined the race, and we now have more alternatives.

So let’s begin to explore a major comparison between Huawei Pura X Max, Apple iPhone Duo, Xiaomi 18 Fold, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8.

Design – It is almost the same for all four models, a wide foldable screen with a rail-like camera module on the back, focusing primarily on a better viewing experience.

Dimensions:

Huawei Pura X Max: 120 × 166.5 × 5.2mm when in unfolded state and 120 × 85 × 11.2mm in folded. It weighs 229g.
iPhone Duo: 117.8 × 164.6 × 5.2mm in unfolded state and 117.8 × 84.1 × 11.3mm when folded. It weighs 254g.
