Get to know the EUSS Adviser Talent Programme! This free legal training course will strengthen the advice sector supporting EU citizens in the UK, helping advisers deepen their expertise and continue to support EU citizens and their families to understand, establish, and exercise their rights.

 

The programme is funded by the European Commission and delivered by Seraphus, an immigration solicitors firm, in cooperation with the EU Delegation to the UK and partner organisations. It reflects a shared commitment to protecting EU citizens’ rights and ensuring the advice sector has the capacity and expertise needed to support them.

 

Why this programme matters

Grant funding for EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) advice work has come to an end, yet data on people seeking advice shows that specialist expertise is needed more than ever, especially on late or complex applications. Across the UK, the advice sector continues to face significant capacity pressures, but EU citizens and their families still need access to advisers who understand their specific situation.

 

Programme aims

The EUSS Adviser Talent Programme will work with advisers across the UK to:

Strengthen advisers’ knowledge and confidence in supporting EU citizens on the EUSS and related settlement routes
Expand the expertise available within the advice sector at a time of ongoing capacity pressure
Support EU citizens and their family members to understand, establish, and exercise their rights in the UK
Reflect a commitment to inclusion, drawing on the perspectives of advisers with lived experience of migration, EU backgrounds, or from racialised communities

 

When and who it’s for

The programme runs from September 2026 to April 2027, with one full-day online session held each month.

It is aimed at IAA Level 1 advisers and newly accredited Level 2 advisers from across the UK who already provide advice on the EUSS and support EU citizens and their family members living in the UK.

 

By investing in advisers’ skills and expertise, the EUSS Adviser Talent Programme aims to ensure EU citizens and their families continue to have access to advisers who understand their situation, strengthening the sector’s capacity for the long term.
