Toulouse Olympique have officially confirmed five end-of-season departures, headlined by former Hull KR forward Ajahni Wallace, following a remarkable 2026 campaign.
The French outfit surpassed expectations in the Betfred Super League this year, securing an impressive 8th-place finish despite operating on just half central funding.
Following their strong top-flight season, Sylvain Houles’ side is beginning a roster reshuffle at the Stade Ernest-Wallon ahead of 2027.
Former Hull KR forward among the exits
The most prominent exit is prop Joe Bretherton, who departs after nine seasons with the French side. Originally joining on loan from Wigan Warriors, Bretherton became a cornerstone of the Toulouse pack, making 131 appearances, featuring in two Super League seasons, and winning two Championship titles (2021 and 2025).
Also departing is former Hull KR forward Ajahni Wallace.
Having initially arrived on loan from East Yorkshire in 2024 before making the move permanent, he made 27 appearances and was a key member of the side crowned Championship champions at York in 2025.

The three other players departing are French international Pierre-Jean Lima, center Reubenn Rennie, and forward Ellis Gillam.

Toulouse officially announced the player exits across their social channels with a message thanking the group for their service:
“Toulouse Olympique would like to thank Joe Bretherton, Pierre-Jean Lima, Reubenn Rennie, Ellis Gillam, and Ajahni Wallace for their commitment, their professionalism, and everything they brought to the club.
“We wish them all the best for the rest of their journey.”
With a best-ever finish in the books for the 2026 season, eyes will be on Toulouse to see how they plan to build for the 2027 season.
