The Trans Caledonia Enduro concluded in the Borders, finishing in Peebles after a multi-day journey across some of Scotland’s most scenic trails and riding locations.

Chris Hutchens, co-founder and race director, said: “We obviously travelled around some of Scotland’s best riding locations and then finished up in the Borders for a couple of days which was perfect.

“It was great to finish in the area and at the Peebles Hydro. We had over 60 international riders out on the field and there was obviously a fair amount of logistics around the country and we had loads of people and businesses helping us make it run as well as it did and we’re really grateful for their support.”

The event also included a youth camp in Innerleithen, where around 100 children received coaching and skills training.

Mr Hutchens said: “That was something we certainly hope to build on for next year when we come back. Hopefully we inspired a few youngsters.

“The overall reaction from those attending as well as the onlookers was really good.

“It was a well received event, so we’re all happy with that.”

In the men’s category, Jake Ebdon from Great Britain took first place, followed by France’s Glenn MacArthur and fellow Briton Joe Barnes.

Becci Skelton from Great Britain won the women’s category, with Melanie Bassett from Germany in second and Michelle Guy from the USA in third.
