Planetarium Go UK will open in Bournemouth Square on October 2, offering visitors the chance to explore the universe through high-resolution digital projection in a portable, dome-shaped theatre.
The planetarium will remain in the town until October 25.
José Jiménez, chief executive of Planetarium Go UK, said: “Our objective is clear: to bring science to places where it has not reached before.
“We want children, young people and families to enjoy an immersive experience that sparks scientific curiosity and brings the universe closer to everyday life, regardless of where they live.
“Planetarium Go UK is not just an entertainment initiative but an educational tool aligned with the national science curriculum.
“Its sessions are adapted to different educational levels and designed to encourage STEM vocations from an early age.”
The initiative aims to visit cities without a permanent planetarium, working with councils, schools, museums, and astronomical societies to make science accessible to all.
Tickets are priced at £10 for standard entry and £8 for students, with family packages also available.
