British skeleton racer Tabbitha (Tabby) Stoecker is competing against 14 other celebrities to win the coveted Glitterball trophy as a new series of Strictly Come Dancing launches this weekend.
The hit BBC dancing competition is to return with brand new presenters – Emma Willis, Johannes Radebe and Josh Widdicombe – after former hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced their departure from the show last year.
Tabby will be joining the likes of Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Lawrence Robb and Delta Goodrem, among more big names, to compete to win the adored dancing competition show.

Tabby, 25, is an Olympic skeleton racer from Highgate, London, who has also trained in circus arts, including trapeze and juggling. She appeared at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy after being named to Great Britain’s squad, where she won a gold medal in the mixed team event with Matt Weston and finished 5th in the Women’s Skeleton.
Speaking to Instagram ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing launch, Tabby said: “The little girl in me is SCREAMING with joy rn!!! So grateful to be part of this iconic show with this group of incredible people.” She added: “Come on class of 2026.”

In another post, she joked: “So surreal getting glammed up for the dance floor instead of squeezing into my race suit and helmet, same nerves, different vibe.”
Tabby will join her fellow Strictly Come Dancing contestants when the series begins this weekend on Saturday, September 19, on BBC One, first airing at 7.25pm. Former footballer Karen Carney won the Glitterball last year with her professional dance partner Carlos Gu, and will be returning to dance again this year for one last time.
Five new professional dancers – Mark Karmalita, Maddie Ingoldsby, Lethabo Monametsi, Cristian Priori, and Aleksandra Isaeva – are joining the line up for Strictly 2026.
And this will mark the first time we see Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe take over as hosts of the dancing competition show, after Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced their departure from the show last year.
