Eaton Park’s crazy golf course in Norwich will be upgraded to a more modern and engaging design.
The project aims to create a “more contemporary and engaging facility” that blends better with the park’s landscape.
Plans include larger putting areas, new holes, water features, improved planting and reconfigured pathways.
Eaton Park Crazy Golf Ltd, the company behind the scheme, said: “The proposed upgrade to the existing mini golf course represents an appropriate and positive intervention within an established recreational area of Eaton Park.
“The scheme replaces a poor quality facility with a more considered and visually integrated design, improving both appearance and usability.”
Planners on behalf of Norwich City Council, who approved the proposals, said the public benefits of the upgraded facility would outweigh any identified harm.
They explained the improved course is expected to contribute to the vibrancy and character of the park.
In a Facebook post, Eaton Park Crazy Golf said it will be closing in the winter to carry out the refurbishment.
