A family favourite park near Glasgow has seen the arrival of four adorable baby llamas in one week – three of which were born on the same morning.
Clyde Valley Family Park has been celebrating the “llama baby boom” as it prepares the site for its annual Pumpkin Festival.
The first cria (baby llama) arrived earlier in the week, before visitors were treated to an incredible surprise on Saturday morning when three more baby llamas were born.
The new arrivals – three boys and one girl – have already become firm favourites with the team, and families visiting the park during the Pumpkin Festival will be able to see the tiny llamas during its Safari Train ride, which is included in park tickets.
The four newborns are all children of Richard, a male llama who was brought to Clyde Valley Family Park from a rescue last Halloween.

“We were in the middle of building our Haunted House when Johnny the Train Driver came on the radio to say another llama had been born,” said the Clyde Valley Family Park team.
“We knew that the llamas were all expecting, but we didn’t expect that they’d all give birth the same week, let alone the same day. Richard must have gotten straight to work when he joined the ladies last year!”
The oldest of the four babies is a little girl named Jolene, after visitors were invited to choose her name through a Facebook competition.
The three boys are still waiting for their names, with the park planning to involve its fans in naming them too.
Clyde Valley Family Park has announced it will also be giving away free tickets to visit the park durning the Pumpkin Festival to the families with the best name suggestions.
Running from October 10 – 31, the free Pumpkin Festival is set to bring “plenty of Halloween excitement” to the farm.
Alongside the park’s usual attractions, families can enjoy a host of seasonal extras, including free pumpkins for children, a Haunted House and plenty of Halloween-themed decorations and photo opportunities.
Organisers added: “It’s always exciting having babies on the farm for visitors to see, especially with the Pumpkin Festival coming up!”
