Departing Wakefield Trinity outside back Will Tate has been confirmed as Huddersfield Giants’ sixth signing for the 2027 season.

Trinity are still in the play-offs but Tate will depart Wakefield at the end of the year, as previously announced, but we now know where he will be playing in 2027.

He made just ten appearances for Wakefield in 2026 although he scored seven tries in this matches, showcasing his talent, and at 24, he’s still got plenty of development in him.

After coming through the ranks at Hull KR, Tate signed for Castleford Tigers and then made the switch to Wakefield at the start of the 2026 season, last representing Trinity in round 19 when he played in the centres and scored a try against Bradford.

He also played off the bench in the round 16 win over Huddersfield Giants, who have now confirmed a two-year deal for the 24-year-old.
