Flair Airlines has obtained the regulatory approvals required to operate scheduled international services between Canada, countries covered by the Canada–European Community air transport agreement, and the United Kingdom.
The Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) issued both licences on Sept. 21.
In both cases, the Agency said it was satisfied that Flair meets all applicable requirements under the Canada Transportation Act and that the requirements of the respective air transport agreements have been met.
The licences authorize Flair to operate scheduled international services using large aircraft on routes covered by the agreements. Flights must be operated in accordance with the applicable agreements and arrangements between Canada and the countries concerned.
No flights announced yet
The CTA decisions do not specify any destinations, departure airports, frequencies or launch dates. Flair has also not announced any transatlantic routes at this time.
The carrier currently serves destinations in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
