Davy Litten has penned an emotional message to Hull FC fans ahead of his departure from the club.

The 23-year-old will move on to fellow Super League outfit Wakefield Trinity next season, signing a four-year deal with Daryl Powell’s side, who have paid a fee for the player.

Coming through the Hull ranks as a teenager, Litten debuted for the first-team as a 19-year-old back in 2022. He went on to play 74 games for his hometown club, scoring 25 tries.

He played at full-back, on the wing, and more recently at centre, making the position his own over the last two years.

But now comes a fresh start, with Litten, one of over a dozen end-of-season departures, set to move to West Yorkshire.

Sharing a farewell message on his Instagram page, Litten wrote: “To be able to achieve my childhood dream and play for this club was always going to be special but to be able to do it 70 times was something I never took for granted. As one door closes and another opens, Hull FC will always hold a special place in my heart.

“I’d like to thank all the staff for helping me progress over the last six years. The support has never gone unnoticed and I appreciate you all.

“I want to thank the amazing Hull FC supporters. Yes, this season has been far from ideal but to the fans who have supported us regardless of what’s gone on, we can’t thank you more than we already do.

“The boys, I’ve met some great people over the last six years who will be friends for life. I love you all to bits and appreciate every single one of you. I wish the club nothing but the best for the future. Thank you, Old Faithful.”
