Sue Wilkie and daughter Claire Donaldson lifted the ladies’ doubles title with a straight-sets victory over Deborah Brown and Isla, winning 6-3, 7-5 in the final.

The championships featured a full schedule of finals across two days, with members competing in singles, doubles and mixed events in front of strong support from fellow club members.
In the men’s singles, Barry overcame Ryan Bunyan to take the title, while Deborah claimed the ladies’ singles crown with victory over Nancy Bunyan.

Grant Cockerill and Ryan Bunyan landed the men’s doubles championship after recovering from the loss of the opening set to defeat Chris and Drummond Bone 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.
The mixed doubles title went to Drummond Bone and Laura, who secured a 6-4, 6-3 win over Fraser and Deborah.
Meanwhile, Deborah and Barry teamed up to win the mixed handicap competition against Mary Lunday and Drummond in a very closely fought encounter, winning 4-6, 7-6, 6-4.

Reflecting on the championships weekend, the club congratulated all of its finalists and thanked the many supporters who turned out to watch.
A spokesperson said: “A huge well done to all our winners and runners-up from this year’s club championships.
“It was an epic weekend of back-to-back matches, plenty of exciting games and fantastic tennis.
