GCAC Tournament
Sophomore Lauren Gauss fired a 3-under-par 69 for an 11-shot win, leading Benet to the championship of the GCAC Tournament at Green Garden Country Club.
Benet shot a 314 as a team, well ahead of runner-up Nazareth’s 353. Benet had the top-six finishers, with Madelyn Maldonado (80), Kate Lewis (82), Bonnie Reeb (83), Elena Horejs (84) and Emma Simkus (84) following Gauss. Nazareth’s Gabriella Giangrande (86) tied for seventh.

Glenbard South d. Hinsdale South 25-21, 25-13
Rebecca Johnston had 10 kills, Eva Bogdanov 12 assists and eight digs, Alyna Krabec seven assists and Emma Full 11 digs for the Raiders (15-7).
Oak Park-River Forest d. Montini 25-20, 25-11
Micaela Haggerty had five kills, two aces and 12 digs for Montini (16-6).
Glenbard West d. Benet 25-13, 25-17
The Hilltoppers (21-2) beat the Redwings (15-4) in a nonconference match in Glen Ellyn.
Mother McAuley d. Downers Grove North 25-20, 25-19
The Trojans (12-5) dropped the nonconference road match.
Nazareth d. Aurora Central Catholic 25-19, 25-8
The Roadrunners improved to 12-12 with the win.
Wheaton Academy d. Aurora Christian 25-10, 22-25, 25-12
The Warriors picked up the three-set Chicagoland Christian Conference win.
