Another week, another swathe of films that have been added to the various streaming services. It can be hard to keep track of what’s new and where, let alone then decide which ones are worth watching.

We’ve combed through the films that have been added (and in some cases, re-added) to the biggest streamers and listed which ones are worth checking out, and singled out one film per platform that we reckon is definitely worth your time.
Best movie new to Netflix this week
Bankside Films
Wasteman (2025): Industry’s David Jonsson and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes star Tom Blyth pair a pair of prison inmates who form a strong bond, but when the top dogs feel like the duo are disrupting the chain of command in the prison’s drug trade, things start to get violent.
With a perfect 100% positive score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes for its portrayal of the prison system as well as the performance of its two leads, it’s no wonder this our Netflix pick of the week.
Also new to Netflix this week: The Damned United, Birds of Prey, Joker, Boiling Point, Unabomber, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

Sky
Gladiator (2000): While there’s some new films that have just been added to Prime Video this week, we can’t not choose this all-time classic. Sir Ridley Scott’s 2.5-hour long epic sees Russell Crowe’s Maximus lose everything and forced into slavery.
But when gets the chance to fight in the arena as a gladiator, he sees his opportunity to enact some bloody revenge. “Are you not entertained?” We sure are.
Also new to Prime Video this week: Madfabulous, Lars and the Real Girl, Oculus, The Love Hypothesis, Grease, Hairspray (the 2007 one).

20th Century Studios
Slumdog Millionaire (2008): Directed by Danny Boyle and starring Skins’ Dev Patel in his debut film role, Slumdog became a huge hit, won Best Picture at the Oscars and Best Film at the BAFTAs, while the Pussycat Dolls version of credits song ‘Jai Ho!’ topped the charts in six countries.
The plot follows a young man named Jamal who enters into India’s version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and makes it to the final question, only for the authorities to accuse him of cheating and threaten to take everything away.
Also new to BBC iPlayer this week: The Mercy, Made in Dagenham, Starve Acre.
Best movie new to ITVX this week
Orion Pictures
The Terminator (1984): ITVX has added a lot of classic films this week, including multiple James Bond films, but its James Cameron’s increasingly-topical science-fiction thriller that’s our pick.
Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a killing machine sent back in time to kill a woman named Sarah Connor, a seemingly-innocuous woman who turns out to be the key to humanity’s survival. Not only did the film spawn five sequels of varying quality, but also a whole multimedia franchise and one of cinema’s most memorable quotes ever in “I’ll be back”.
Also new to ITVX this week: The Living Daylights, Madagascar, Licence to Kill, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Rocky II.
Best movie new to Channel 4 this week
Netflix
The Beautiful Game (2024): A football drama that stars Bill Nighy as the manager of the England team competing in the Homeless World Cup, and Micheal Ward as a player who could be the key to their victory if he can work through his issues and gel with his squad mates.
Inspired by the true story of the tournament, the film was acclaimed by critics upon release, with FilmWeek calling it “fantastic” and Variety stating that “it’s hard not to be won over”.
Also new to Channel 4 this week: The Theory of Everything, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Little Stranger, No Hard Feelings, Housebound, Seven Psychopaths.
