An alleged murder victim who died after sustaining “stab wounds” has been named by police. Dean Fishwick, 51, from Peterlee died following an incident in the town on Wednesday, September 23.
Officers were called to an address in Thames Road shortly before midnight following reports a man had suffered stab wounds. Mr Fishwick was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
An investigation is ongoing and a police cordon remains in place while crime scene investigators continue to work at the scene. A 53-year-old man and a 73-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of murder remain in police custody.A 77-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released under investigation.
