Two Irish riders who have really impressed in the youth ranks, Tom Lane and Darragh Murphy, have been signed by the Cams Majaco development team Cams Majaco.
The team is linked to World Tour squad Netcompany Ineos, acting a pathway option towards the professional ranks for some.
Lane and Murphy will join Irish junior TT and road race champion, and European track champion, Emer Heverin on the roster.
Shane O’Brien was also riding with the team this year, and had broken through to the Irish national road team, when he was tragically killed in a training ride crash in June.
Lane, who has been a multiple national champion in the youth ranks, had been riding for Dan Morrissey Pissei this season but has now made the move to Cams Majaco, clearly looking for international racing opportunities.

Similarly, Murphy is also seeking to develop with a team that has an international calendar of junior racing open to it riders. He is following in the steps of his brother, Conor Murphy, who was signed this time last year on a two-year deal with U23 development team Decathlon CMA CGM.
“Thrilled to announce that I will be joining Cams Majaco for the upcoming 2027 season,” Lane said in a short statement online.
“I’ve decided to join Cams Majaco because I feel that they are the best team that will assist me in my development on and off the bike while also giving me full opportunity and support for my future in bike racing.”
He also thanked everyone who had helped him to this point, saying there were too many to mention.
Murphy said he was “really excited” to join Cams Majaco for next season, which will he his and Lane’s first in the junior ranks.
“The chance to develop, learn and race with a great team like this made them the choice for me,” he said. “Looking forward to meeting new people and some top quality racing.”
