Both GSR Junior 4somes League finals at Tudor Park Golf Club were decided on the final hole.

Division B side Tudor Park won the main prize, beating Division A outfit Dartford, while fellow Division A side Rochester & Cobham edged Eltham Warren of Division B in the plate.

Park’s line-up were Zane Hillman, Sam Body, James Boyd, Lenny Ridley (captain), Issac Frankham and John Body and Rochester & Cobham were represented by Jensen Wise, Justin Chenu, Jenson Ringer, Harry Fryer (captain), Finley White and Marley Simpson.

Championship runners-up Dartford fielded Quinn Jameson (captain), Ossie May, Ronnie Webb, Harry O’Connor, Ollie Crabb and George Bennett, while Eltham Warren’s squad were Reggie Jones, Harry Walters, Mason Collins, Tilly Greatley, Billy Adams (captain) and Albert Warwick.

Each team had eight fixtures in their respective divisions, more than in previous years, and 18 clubs, predominantly from the west of the county, competed in the six-a-side foursomes competition.

And although trophies were on the line, organiser Mark Timlett was once again impressed with the level of sportsmanship on show.

“The level of respect shown by the junior players each year by playing at such a high level, and with a great attitude, is an indication of just how much our league is valued,” he said.

Matt Mulley, from sponsors Golf Sim Rooms, added: “It’s GSR’s third year sponsoring the event and what a pleasure it is to watch such talented upcoming players from across the county.

“Congratulations to all the players who showed true grit throughout the day and a big well done to Tudor Park and Rochester & Cobham for their respective wins in the cup and plate.

“A shoutout to Mark Timlett also for managing this great event. We look forward to the continued partnership and to supporting the league in the future.”
