In September of last year, The Leader reported that The Druid Inn at Pontblyddyn had been sold.
The 200-year-old pub – originally a coach house – on the A451 Wrexham Road has been the subject of a number of sale attempts since its closure in 2020.
Now it is set to re-open as a medical clinic with the MyMedica team, which will host its grand opening from 10am on Saturday, October 31.

Over the past year, Sohraab and Chloe Yadav have undertaken a major renovation of the building, completely transforming it from the old pub/restaurant into a purpose-built medical clinic with consultation and treatment rooms.
Sohraab is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon, and his vision for My Medica is to bring together a range of medical and allied healthcare professionals under one roof, providing high-quality healthcare closer to home for people in Flintshire, Cheshire and the surrounding areas.

Chloe, who has shared these first-look pictures with The Leader, said: “We’re incredibly excited to finally be opening the doors to My Medica. We’ve completely transformed the former Druid Inn into a modern medical clinic, bringing together a range of services including private GP, eye care, orthopaedics, physiotherapy, women’s health, dermatology, psychiatry and more.
“We really want My Medica to become a local healthcare hub, making it easier for people to access high-quality care closer to home.
“The grand opening takes place on Saturday, October 31 between 10am and 12pm, and everyone is welcome – local residents, prospective patients and healthcare professionals. Cllr Kristian Salkeld will be joining us for the official ribbon cutting.”
