The facility is currently under construction as part of an expansion at the sports and fitness centre in Fakenham.
North Norfolk District Council unanimously approved plans for the development in May 2025.

The pool structure is nearing completion, with the steel frame and roof installed as well as major concrete works under way.
The 25-metre, four-lane facility will mark the first time in more than a decade that swimming is available in Fakenham.

It will cost around £11m and feature new exercise studios, a 50-station gym, and a revamp of the fitness areas among other things.
An opening date was initially set for December, but delivery issues relating to the Iran conflict pushed this back by two months.
Everyone Active, the operators of the centre, said the pool was “a long-awaited return of swimming amenity” in the town.
