Shortly before 2.30pm today at car smashed into M&S at Silverlink Retail Park in North Tyneside.
Along with police and firefighters, two ambulance crews, one duty officer, one rapid response paramedic, one specialist paramedic and one clinical team leader were called to the scene. The Great North Air Ambulance also landed.
A man and woman, both aged in their 60s, were taken to the RVI.
Northumbria Police confirmed that the driver, a woman in her 70s, remained at the scene of the collision.
