JetBlue has confirmed that kosher meals will be available in BlueFirst, its new domestic first class. JetBlue told DansDeals that special meals, including kosher meals, can be ordered in BlueFirst on all flights with meal service, which are flights of 899 miles or more. Special meals must be ordered at least 24 hours before departure.
BlueFirst went on sale October 15 on more than 30 routes. The first revenue flight leaves Boston for Fort Lauderdale on December 8, and select flights between Fort Lauderdale and New York LaGuardia follow within days, according to JetBlue. Introductory one-way fares start at $249 on LaGuardia to Fort Lauderdale and at $299 on Boston to Fort Lauderdale and New York JFK to Liberia, Costa Rica.
How to Request a Kosher Meal
Special meal requests can be added when booking online, and the airline’s special meal code for kosher is KSML. JetBlue says requests placed within 24 hours of departure may not be accommodated. DansDeals notes that United, by comparison, requires flights of at least 2,000 miles to order special meals.

What BlueFirst Includes
BlueFirst seats are wide recliners in a two-by-two layout with up to seven inches of extra legroom and up to five inches of recline compared with JetBlue’s Main seats. On flights of 899 miles or longer, the standard meal is FirstFare, a bento-inspired box with an entree, side and dessert. All BlueFirst flights get premium snacks and drinks, ordered from a seatback screen. BlueFirst and BlueFirst Flex fares include two free checked bags and have no change or cancel fees, while BlueFirst Base includes one free checked bag.
Where BlueFirst Is Headed
JetBlue plans to offer BlueFirst on flights across its network where Mint is not offered, including markets in Latin America and the Caribbean. Mosaic members can use Premium Upgrade Certificates for BlueFirst where it is available, and DansDeals reports a fleetwide rollout by 2028.

BlueFirst is on sale now at jetblue.com. The introductory fares are good for booking through October 16 for select travel dates through February 10, according to DansDeals. Kosher meals are requested through JetBlue at booking online, at least 24 hours before the flight.
