Enzo Gilbert, from Chandler’s Ford, has been channelling his inner Tiger Woods on the fairway, overcoming competition from older children to win the under 7s title.
But the Hiltingbury Infants School pupil is a little lonely on the fairway and would love to have more budding golfers his age to play alongside.

Enzo, the youngest player in the field, finished one shot ahead of second-place competitor Elliot Dye, beating the top six and seven-year-olds in the county at Ampfield Golf and Country Club.
Dreaming of one day being an elite golfer, he told the Daily Echo: “I want my handicap to be +4 one day and hopefully play in The Masters.
“It would be great to have more kids to play with as it’s more fun playing with children than my daddy.”
Enzo first showed an interest in golf as a toddler, swinging plastic balls around the house before graduating to real clubs at the driving range by the age of three.
He now practices regularly at Stoneham Golf Club and typically plays his rounds at Ampfield.
Dad Rich hopes the win will help raise awareness of how positive, accessible and affordable golf can be for children.
Mr Gilbert said: “Enzo used to love hitting plastic balls in the house as soon as he could walk and started hitting proper balls with proper clubs at the driving range when he was three.
“In a world of screens it’s an amazing sport to keep kids fit, help them learn to concentrate and get out in nature.
“Golf for children is also extremely cheap and provides three hours of outdoor sport for 18 holes at Ampfield. This costs just £80 for the year for unlimited golf for the young juniors.
“I feel most parents feel kids as young as Enzo wouldn’t be able to play but given the opportunity they really can!
“I just really wish he had more kids to play with as playing with his dad is fine but friendly competition with kids his own age would be so much better.”
