The LPGA is in Asia for the first of four events, playing its fall Asian Swing. It all starts with the Buick LPGA Shanghai, where Jeeno Thitikul is the defending champion, although it’s being played at a new venue this year, Sheshan Golf Club, which has hosted 14 versions of the WGC-HSBC Champions.

Eleven of the top 25 players in the world have made the trip to Shanghai, starting with Thitikul (No. 2). Miyu Yamashita (5), Ruoning Yin (6) and Sei Young Kim (9) are those inside the top 10. There are also 15 players competing from the China Golf Association in the 81-player field competing for $3.2 million. The winner will take home $480,000 for a victory.

Up next: the tour heads to Korea, Malaysia and Japan before returning to Florida in mid-November for the last two events of the season.
