Tim takes his second stage win at the Eneco Tour, bringing Soudal Quick-Step’s tally to 34 victories for the year.

Tim Merlier gave Soudal Quick-Step a winning finish to the season on Sunday, taking victory on the final stage of the Eneco Tour in Arnhem. Following his success in Ede earlier in the week, the Belgian doubled his tally at the Dutch race and delivered the team’s 34th victory of the year.

I think finished the amazing work of the team in a good way. We had a good week, with 2 victories, Pepijn with a good GC finish and Ethan doing good in the Prologue and TT. Great week for us.

The concluding stage covered 149.2 kilometres, starting and finishing in Arnhem, where the riders had one final opportunity to fight for a stage win before bringing their season to a close. Merlier made the most of that opportunity, adding another sprint success to his collection.

Having also won the race’s first road stage, Tim leaves the Netherlands with two victories, completing the squad’s final appointment of 2026 in style.

After the race a delighted Merlier said ‘I’m really happy to take another victory here and finish the season with a win. My acceleration comes down to timing and feeling. It’s difficult to explain, but you have to trust your instinct and choose the right moment.’
