The song that Beck will perform for Mongolia at Eurovision Asia has been changed after his first song was found to have breached the contest rules.

The Mongolian song for Eurovision Asia is now “Chamguigeer (Without You)” after “Light” was found to have breached competition rules. “Light” was first released in 2018, breaching the contest’s rules, which state competing songs cannot have been released before July 1, 2026.

As a result of the rule breach, “Chamguigeer (Without You)” which placed second in the Mongolian national final will now be Beck’s song for Bangkok. The song was written and composed by Otgonbayar Damba, Gankhurel.B and Munkhbaytar Ganbaatar

Beck Munkhbayar is an economist, television host, event director and singer from Mongolia. In an announcement video on October 1st, Beck explains how he has been dreaming about Eurovision since he watched it for the first time 26 years ago and how it became a childhood dream to stand on the Eurovision stage.
