King Charles and Prince William are “well aware” of the royal power that Mike Tindall and his wife, Zara, hold, it has been claimed. Mike, who is celebrating his 48th birthday today, and his wife are seen as a “huge boost” to the monarchy’s modern image. The King and the Prince of Wales reportedly rely heavily on their down-to-earth appeal behind closed doors.
Despite remaining firmly outside the fold of official working royals, Mike and Zara are widely considered a breath of fresh air for the monarchy.
Grant Harrold, who served as a butler to King Charles for seven years, explained that while the Tindalls have absolutely no desire to take on official duties, their natural charm is a massive asset to the Palace.
“They’re not working royals and, to be frank, they don’t want to be,” Mr Harrold revealed.
Speaking on behalf of Smooth Spins, he said: “They’ve got a good set-up at the moment, and I can’t see that changing from an official point.”
