The Minister’s attendance comes as Egypt records continued growth from the United Kingdom, with 838,000 UK visitors travelling to the country between January and September 2026. This represents an increase of 9.4% compared with the same period in 2025.
Taking place from 3 to 5 November at Excel London, WTM London will provide the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities with a prominent platform to strengthen relationships with British tour operators, airlines, travel companies and international tourism partners.
During the event, Minister Fathy will engage with leading travel industry stakeholders and showcase Egypt’s tourism vision under the slogan “Egypt – Unmatched Diversity,” highlighting the country’s rich and diverse tourism offerings, from its unparalleled cultural heritage and stunning coastal destinations to its wide range of year-round travel experiences.
“The continued growth in visitor numbers from the United Kingdom reflects the strong and longstanding relationship between Egypt and the British travel market, as well as the increasing appeal of Egypt’s diverse tourism offerings,” said Sherif Fathy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.
“WTM London provides an important platform to reinforce our partnerships with the British travel industry, explore new opportunities for cooperation, and showcase the full breadth of experiences Egypt has to offer. Under our vision, ‘Egypt – Unmatched Diversity’, we are highlighting Egypt as a year-round destination that brings together an extraordinary cultural and archaeological heritage, world-class coastal resorts, vibrant cities, nature and adventure experiences, and a growing range of emerging destinations.
“Our ambition goes beyond increasing visitor numbers. We are committed to developing a more competitive, diversified, and sustainable tourism sector that delivers high-quality experiences, encourages visitors to explore more of the country, and supports our long-term target of welcoming 30 million tourists annually by 2030/2031.”
