The club can today confirm the departure of winger Dennon Lewis, following a brilliant spell at Meadowbank.
Joining the Wanderers at the start of last season, Dennon quickly established himself as a fan favourite, impressing supporters with his exciting, direct approach and becoming an important part of the squad.
Despite the best efforts of both parties to make things work, the distance and travel involved have made it increasingly difficult for Dennon to continue with the club. As a result, he has chosen to explore another opportunity, joining Slough Town, where the circumstances will better suit his situation.
Dennon will not be playing in tomorrow’s match in Berkshire.
On Dennon’s departure, manager Marc White said:
“Dennon has been a part of our journey and, as with all players that have represented the club, will remain a Wanderer forever.”
“He will be remembered as a typical Wanderers player – electric and exciting.”
“He made a real impact during his time here, and we thank him for everything he has contributed to the club.”
Everyone at Dorking Wanderers is sorry to see Dennon leave, and we would like to thank him for all of his efforts in red and white.
