Cork golfer Sara Byrne sits in a tie for 14th following the third round of the Women’s Indian Open.
On the tough playing DLF Golf and Country Club course, Byrne sits on two-over par ahead of the final round, seven shots adrift of home favourite Vani Kapoor, who is one of only eight players under par.
After opening with five pars, Byrne double-bogeyed the sixth before picking up an eagle at the eighth – the only player in the third round to do so – to be out in level par.
A run of bogeys from the 12th to the 14th saw her sign for a three-over round of 75.
It was a tough day for fellow Irish player Anna Foster.
Starting at the 10th, her card contained three birdies, seven bogeys and a double bogey as she fell to 15-over par.
Aine Donegan failed to make the cut for the weekend.
