FT: Liverpool 2-2 London City Lionesses
London City Lionesses boss Eder Maestre: “Tough game we expect that. When you start losing with a penalty, overcoming the situation is always difficult. I think the reaction that the team had was incredible.
“The second half we decide to change a little bit the shape just to protect more the central channel.
“We thought that we had everything under control, just after recovering the ball the turnover comes and the risk that we tried to avoid in the games punished us in the last minutes that’s why it’s quite frustrating.”
On the squad: “It’s about managing the load because we cannot lose the perspective that we are going to have Crystal Palace in three days and City next week.
On perspective: “We are ambitious. Losing [a goal] in the last minute is very, very painful considering the target that we have so that’s why it’s very frustrating.”
