A popular trampoline park in Devon has closed its doors suddenly, saying the situation is “complex” and involves “an ongoing legal dispute”.

Air Extreme, at Roundswell Business Park in Barnstaple, addressed public concerns after a forfeiture notice was displayed on the building on October 19, 2026, stating the landlord had regained control after the lease was forfeited under a clause in the agreement, but did not specify the circumstances.

Following the closure, a manager of the “ultimate trampoline park in Devon” shared on social media that the team were blindsided by it and that it was a “misunderstanding”.

A statement regarding the business, shared on its website, later said circumstances “cannot easily be explained through social media” though and that it “must be careful” while legal matters remain ongoing.

It also apologised to anyone who has been disappointed, saying if anyone had existing bookings, cancelled parties or wanted refunds, to contact the team by email on bookings@air-extreme.co.uk.

The full statement reads: “I feel it is important to address the current situation surrounding Air Extreme and provide some clarity for our customers, families, staff and the wider community.

“I am aware of the concerns being raised publicly, particularly by customers with existing bookings, outstanding refunds and events that have been affected by the current circumstances. I fully understand the frustration, disappointment and uncertainty this has caused, especially for families and children who have been looking forward to special occasions.

“Over the last few days, I have been working tirelessly to establish the full position, address outstanding matters and explore the options available to resolve the situation.

“The circumstances surrounding Air Extreme are complex, and certain matters are currently subject to an ongoing legal dispute, with solicitors involved. For that reason, I cannot comment in detail on every aspect of the situation while those matters are being reviewed.

“However, I want to make one thing absolutely clear: I am not ignoring the situation or the people affected by it. I recognise that customers deserve answers, and I am doing what I can to deal with matters as responsibly as possible.

“I ask that people allow the relevant processes to take place and avoid drawing conclusions based on incomplete information. There are circumstances behind the current situation that cannot easily be explained through social media, and I must be careful about what I say while legal matters remain ongoing.

“Air Extreme has been a huge part of my life, and I know how much it means to the families, children and community who have supported us over the years. I am deeply saddened by the position we currently find ourselves in.

“I sincerely apologise to everyone who has been inconvenienced, disappointed or left uncertain by these circumstances. I understand that words alone cannot resolve the difficulties people may be experiencing, and I do not take those concerns lightly.”

Air Extreme Ltd, directed by Christopher Milton according to Companies House, was issued a First Gazette notice for compulsory strike-off on April 28, 2026, however, this action was discontinued soon after on May 2, citing that cause had been shown why the company should not be struck off and the Registrar would take no further action.

According to Google, the trampoline park is ‘temporarily closed’.
