Several major drug manufacturers agreed to settle class-action lawsuits accusing them of violating antitrust and consumer protection laws by working together to raise prescription drug prices. The settlements involve Apotex and Heritage, Sandoz, and Sun/Taro, USA Today reported.
Consumers and third-party payers may qualify if they purchased certain generic medications in the US between Friday, May 1, 2009, and Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019. The settlements cover a wide range of prescription drugs, including tablets, creams, ointments, and injectable medications.
The drug manufacturers have denied wrongdoing but agreed to the settlements worth a combined $533 million. The amount each eligible person receives will depend on the number of valid claims, along with deductions for expenses like attorneys’ fees and litigation costs.
Some of the medications included in the settlements are:

The medications are covered in various dosages. A complete list of eligible drugs is available on the settlement website.
