Police were called at around 3am on Friday, October 30, a resident had returned to their home address, and found the door secured on the latch from inside, after he left it closed a short period earlier.
With help from neighbours, it was understood that a woman had been seen from a nearby property entering the address.
Officers from the neighbourhood team located the suspect at her address shortly after the report.
After repeated attempts to get her to open the door, police used necessary equipment to force entry.
Inside, they found a 47-year-old woman in possession of vehicle keys believed to belong to the owner of the original property.
She was arrested on suspicion of burglary and remains in custody for further questioning.
