A town pharmacy is set to relocate as part of a £240,000 investment to improve healthcare services for the local area.
The Lincolnshire Co-op pharmacy in Spilsby will be moving from High Street to Post Office Lane, and will be inside the same premises as the retailer’s food store and community library.
The new pharmacy will have two consultation rooms, more space for healthcare services and enhanced dispensary and medication storage facilities.
It will also have its own car park and a modern look inside, with blue tones and wooden textures to create a calming environment.
Until the relocation is complete patients can continue receiving support with their prescriptions and healthcare services from the existing pharmacy.
Throughout the works, which are due to be completed in January 2027, the food store will remain open but the library will be closed temporarily from Wednesday, November 4, until mid-December.
The library will also be given a refresh during this time, including a redecoration, new ceiling and flooring.
Grainne Freeman, Lincolnshire Co-op’s Pharmacy Operations Manager, said: “As healthcare continues to evolve, this investment will enhance the services we offer and ensure more local people can access the support they need closer to home.
“The new pharmacy will enable our Spilsby team to deliver key services on a wider scale, improving health and wellbeing in the local area, and reducing the strain on other healthcare services.”
