Brooks Koepka and Jena Sims Life together© NDTV Library

People watch golf on Sunday afternoon and think it must be the easiest job on earth. It really is not. Players live out of suitcases for thirty weeks a year and lose sleep over four-foot putts. Brooks Koepka has still won five major titles out there, including two U.S. Opens and three PGA Championships. He always says his wife Jena Sims is the one who keeps his life normal away from the course.

How an Instagram Message Led to Augusta

Jena actually made the first move back in early 2015 when she sent Brooks a message on Instagram. They texted for a couple of months while he was out on tour. Jena grew up in Georgia, and a friend got her tickets to the 2015 Masters at Augusta National that April. Brooks saw her by the rope near the seventh hole on Thursday and walked right over to hug her during his round. She met his whole family that night, though they stayed just friends for a while.

Most fans had no idea they were dating until Brooks won the 2017 U.S. Open at Erin Hills. Fox announcer Joe Buck accidentally called Jena by the name of Brooks’ old girlfriend on live TV right after the win. They just laughed it off and went to Las Vegas for five days before they showed up together at the 2017 ESPY Awards.

Jena’s Own Career and a Wedding in Turks and Caicos

Jena already had her own career long before she met a golfer. She won Miss Georgia Teen USA in 2007 and acted in movies like Sharknado 5. She also modeled for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and runs a charity called the Pageant of Hope that she started in 2005 for kids who have cancer or disabilities. Brooks proposed to her on a Florida beach in March 2021. They got their legal marriage license at a Florida courthouse in May 2022 and then flew to Turks and Caicos in June for a beach wedding where Ludacris rapped at the party.

Life With Baby Crew Through Good and Bad Days

Things got scary in a hurry in July 2023. Jena’s water broke six weeks early, just two minutes after Brooks walked in from the gym. Doctors delivered their son Crew by emergency C-section, and he had to spend 20 days in the NICU until he could breathe on his own and take a bottle. They have been just as open when life gets heavy. Jena shared in October 2025 that they lost a second baby at 16 weeks after the heartbeat stopped, and she talked about the loss so other women who go through miscarriage would not feel alone. Now you can spot Crew at the Masters Par 3 Contest in a white caddie suit with Koepka on the back as his parents figure out life between golf trips.
