So after all the excitement, the anticipation and the speculation, the reveal of Fenwick’s Window is now over for another year. But people are only just getting started with their opinions on it, with plenty of positive feedback for The Gruffalo’s Child theme so far, as adjectives like ‘incredible’ and ‘amazing’ have been used to describe it.
Reimagined with a festive twist, this year’s windows celebrate the magic of storytelling and the joy of reading together, bringing a new Christmas adventure to the heart of Newcastle. And within minutes of The Gruffalo’s Child window being unveiled, positive comments started to pour in.
One mum who was there reacted: ‘What an incredible window this year! Such a special night again.’ as another person very excited to go and see Fenwick’s Window this week replied: ‘This is so exiting!!!!! I look forward to this every year and it’s so wonderful to see such a lovely theme with animatronics!! Can’t wait to see it tomorrow.’
Someone else was bold enough to declare that the 2026 window is ‘#the best one yet’ as someone else wrote: ‘wow amazing!’
