Emmerdale fans make same plea after Mackenzie Boyd was brutally attacked by John Sugden in an intense “chase” scene.
The actor joined the ITV soap in October 2020 to take on the role of Mackenzie Boyd. He was introduced after kissing Charity Dingle when his car broke down outside the village.
Mack looked at a photo album and saw John Sugden pictured with the guy who was hired to remove Nate Robinson’s belongings (the villager that John murdered).
As the penny started to drop for Mackenzie the episode ended on a cliffhanger.
On Thursday August 21, the hour-long episode of Emmerdale delivered a nerve wracking chase that saw John Sugden actively pursuing Mackenzie Boyd through the woods.
This dramatic chase leaves viewers wondering about Mackenzie’s fate, especially since wife Charity currently believes he is en route to London.
The question now is, how long will it be before Mackenzie’s family uncovers what has happened to him?
It was an intense and terrifying moment as it appeared that Mack might just get away, but John quipped that he’s “always one step ahead”. Now, the small hope that John would get caught has been shattered.

The scenes were brutal as Mack tried to run for his life, desperate to get away from the villain. However, as John shot his crossbow, going right through Mack’s body, the ITV soap left viewers pleading for him to still be alive.
On a Reddit thread, u/NotPerfect_JustOK wrote: “I was literally on the edge of my seat from the very start! When Psycho John came walking back to the van, I know I was not the only one shouting, ‘MACK! GET OUT OF THE VAN!!!!!!'”
u/Philli86 replied: “I literally had the same reaction! I really don’t want him to be dead! I hope he’s unconscious on the back of the van!”
Another viewer, u/DoccyWoccyPengin added: “Arrgghhh I can’t seriously believe that Mack is dead I refuse to believe it!!! He can’t be dead he just can’t”.
Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
