Saratoga Race Course’s signature event is tomorrow — the 156th running of the Travers Stakes.
Post time for the race is set for 6:14 p.m., with the race televised on Fox. The field for the race is just five, with Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes winner Sovereignty the odds-on favorite.
The Travers is the 13th of 14 scheduled races Saturday. The first post time is 11:10 a.m.
If you’re headed to the track Saturday, parking lots open at 7 a.m., and gates open at 9 a.m. There’s no early access, so the picnic tables are first-come, first-serve. General admission tickets are $5 in advance when buying on the Saratoga website. Officials encourage buying parking ahead of time as well.
Coolers, food, drink — though alcohol must not be in glass bottles — folding chairs and tent will all be permitted Saturday. Items like drones, noisemakers, skateboards, sports equipment and weapons are not permitted.
